Where your people go to gain the skills they need to get better products to market — faster.
Dojos are in-house learning environments staffed by experienced coaches who guide your teams as they learn newer, more effective ways of working and building digital products. They are ongoing forums in which employees learn by doing. They are places where information flows, ideas are exchanged, and experts collaborate as they develop and evolve top-quality real-world digital products.
Dojos are not about traditional course-based training — because today’s markets move too fast to make traditional course-based training economical. Certification programs provide too little, cost too much, and more than that, aren’t attuned to your company's discreet product development needs.
Let us teach you how to transform your organization with our online Dojo and Project to Product Workshops. We can also bring our corporate coaching to you.
Packages
While Dojo and Co offers workshops and consulting as standalone options, we prefer to work with our client partners through more comprehensive engagements, ensuring we’re helping you achieve your desired outcomes every step of the way. Prices for services purchased as a package are discounted from our standard rates.
Six Month Startup Package
The six month dojo startup package is designed to get your organization’s dojo fully operational.
During the pilot phase we focus on bootstrapping your dojo and learning from two pilot teams. This enables us to maximize the dojo’s value and ensure teams are having optimum learning experiences.
We then move into an up and running phase with a strong emphasis on ensuring your organization can run the dojo in a self-sufficient manner. A significant aspect of this includes “coaching the coaches”, where we work with your coaches, helping them become effective dojo coaches. During this phase we’ll start dojo engagements for six teams, fully completing three of them. Your coaches will take over from there.
A typical dojo startup package lasts approximately six months and includes the following:
Pilot Phase:
Assessment of the current state of your organization
Creating Your Dojo bootstrapping workshop
Identifying and coaching two pilot teams through six-week dojo experiences
Reflecting on the pilot teams and making adjustments for further dojo experiences
Up and Running Phase
Coaching in the Dojo bootstrapping workshop
Helping your coaches coach three teams through full six-week dojo experiences and
Starting three additional teams.
The format of the six month package and the services in the package have been refined over the last five years through our experiences helping multiple organizations create successful dojos.
Customized Packages
If you are a larger organization, you may recognize the need up front for a long-term engagement. This situation typically arises when there are many teams, there’s a need to have dojos in multiple locations, there are many coaches to develop, or where there's simply a desire to have long-term support. These packages are all customized for each individual organization’s needs.
For organizations who are not ready to fully commit to creating a dojo we offer a three month pilot package. The pilot package consists of the activities described and shown above in the pilot phase of the six month engagement.
We’re happy to provide you a customized quote that leverages your existing coaching staff and your desired outcomes. Customized quotes take into account the number of people you’d like to attend the workshops and the desired number of coaches you’d like us to provide for the engagement.

Coaching for Learning
Coaching in the dojo is different than traditional coaching. Coaching is focused on learning over delivery. Dojo coaches must learn how to make this shift in mindset and develop a set of coaching techniques for fostering learning that supplement the current coaching techniques they’ve developed.
The workshop will guide participants in understanding the dojo model and the dojo lifecycle. Coaches will understand how they are crucial for successfully onboarding teams during the intake stage. They’ll learn a set of practices for working with teams to foster learning and knowledge creation. In addition, they’ll learn how to practice their coaching techniques and mentor coaches new to the dojo model.
